TGIF! I hope you all are gearing up for a beautiful weekend of some sort of exploration. The vanlife community is growing like crazy, and we thought it would be fun to share some of our favorite vanlifers with you so you can follow along too!
At the end of 2017, Mars and I completed a six-week course to create a vision for our lives. We looked deeply into 12 categories to discover hidden beliefs and values and to clarify the purpose behind our end goals in each area.
Of the many things we accomplished last year, creating a clear plan was probably the most life changing. I can't emphasize enough what creating a crystal clear vision for every area of your life will do. This week, we've broken down the details of our van conversion mobile studio. Equipped with a pair of Yamaha monitors, Universal Audio interface, and Beyerdynamic headphones, our mobile studio allows us to create and record music on the road with the conveniences of being at home. It’s Thanksgiving 2017, which means we have almost been living full time as vanlifers for eight months-EIGHT MONTHS. This is incredibly hard to believe. When we first started out, we wanted to do “a year in a van.” But now, I just don’t foresee us ending this amazing life so soon.
Before we get all serious, let us wish you and yours a happy Thanksgiving! We are so thankful for all of the support we have received along this journey. From stories from others embarking on an unconventional life to simple cheers encouraging us to keep going, this really is the fuel that sparks us onward. With so many options out there, and so many DIYers turning everything from a box truck to a school bus into the trendiest of tiny homes, finding the vehicle that would suit our needs was the first step to creating our dream.
